Upgrading our technology

At Rosemount we’ve always been committed to providing you with the best service we can. This includes our use of technology. An example is our current client reporting system Adviser Office. This helps us manage data and supply reports to you as efficiently as possible. Well, we’ve been using Adviser Office for two and a half decades, and while it’s been a reliable work-horse, we have decided to put it out to pasture. 

So after 25 years we’re saying goodbye to Adviser Office and introducing X Plan. Over the next few months we’ll be managing the migration of data to the new system.

A big advantage of X Plan is the client-facing portal on which you will be able to see the valuation of the investments that we manage for you. You will also be able to update the information we hold about you – all in a secure and efficient manner.

The Big Switch

Gemma is working steadfastly preparing for the changeover. Meanwhile our staff are being trained on the new system so we’re ready for the big switch over.

How about a fun fact? When we don’t know the property purchase date we enter 31.12.1899. We do this so we’ll be able to easily spot that it’s a false date. It was a good idea at the time, but it turns out that X Plan doesn’t recognise dates from the 19th century. Who knew? We’ve tasked a few of our team to amend over 5000 dates to the first day of the 20th century.  Anyone who remembers Y2K will be amused by this. Our team, less so.

The good news is that once the portal is live you’ll be able to see that information and update it, should you so wish.

The big switch over will happen overnight, and be followed by a week of testing. As we test, we’ll hold any new work as hard-copy, uploading it on our go live date. During these changes our priority is to ensure our service remains as unaffected as possible. At times this may be unavoidable, but we promise to keep you updated as best as we can. We backup our data regularly during the day, so if there’s a problem the backups will kick in. 

All being well, the new client portal will be available around the end of the first quarter 2023. We’re running a test phase with some selected clients. Upon successful completion of this phase we’ll roll-out to all clients in 2023. We’ll keep you updated. All of us at Rosemount thank you in advance for your patience.

We’re always excited to see what a new year will bring. Challenges, for sure – but also opportunities. With X Plan we’ll be more than ready to meet whatever comes our way.
